Karen has been a full time Realtor in the Tri-County area since 1989, beginning her career with Cook & Cook Realtors in Cameron Park. In 1999 a new company, Coker & Cook Real Estate,  was established, and was subsequently purchased by Coldwell Banker. in 2000 she joined the newly opened Re/Max office in Cameron Park and was proud to be part of this productive office unit 2017. Shethen joined the newly opened Placerville office onat 3025 Sacramento Street in Placerville.

Karen has earned designations as a Graduate of the Real Estate Institute (GRI), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE) and has also completed Mediation Training from Pepperdine University. Sheiscurrently the EDCAR Mediator for her local Realtor Association.

She has sustained longevity as a Top Producer in El Dorado County & as a member of the Re/Max 100% Club. In addition, was nominated into the Re/Max International Hall of Fame & voted as Realtor of the Year in 2007. In 2005, she served as President of EDCAR &  served again as President in 2013.

Representing the local Realtor Association, as well as maintaining a thriving real estate business, can be challenging & Karen contributes her success to the systems in place to provide the best customer service before, during and after the transaction. She takes pride in the fact that more than 95% of business is referred from past clients, friends & other Realtors.
